SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human THOP1 (thimet oligopeptidase 1, also called MP78) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human THOP1 qPCR Primer Set – thimet oligopeptidase 1
Also known as: EP24.15, MEPD_HUMAN, MP78, TOP
About this gene: The THOP1 protein is a kininase that uses zinc as a cofactor. The encoded oligopeptidase cleaves cytosolic peptides, making them unavailable for display on antigen-presenting cells. The THOP1 protein also cleaves neuropeptides under 20 aa in length and can degrade beta-amyloid precursor protein to amyloidogenic peptides.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7064; HGNC ID: HGNC:11793; UniProt: P52888; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003249.5; Chromosome location: 19p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
