About this gene: The protein encoded by this intronless gene is an endothelial-specific type I membrane receptor that binds thrombin. This binding leads to the activation of protein C, which degrades clotting factors Va and VIIIa and reduces the amount of thrombin generated. Mutations in THBD are a cause of thromboembolic disease, also known as inherited thrombophilia.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
