SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TGM1 (transglutaminase 1, also called TGK) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TGM1 qPCR Primer Set – transglutaminase 1
Also known as: ARCI1, ICR2, KTG, LI, LI1, TGASE, TGK
About this gene: The TGM1 protein is a membrane protein that catalyzes the addition of an alkyl group from an akylamine to a glutamine residue of a protein, forming an alkylglutamine in the protein. The TGM1 protein alkylation leads to crosslinking of proteins and catenation of polyamines to proteins. TGM1 contains either one or two copies of a 22 nt repeat unit in its 3' UTR. Mutations in TGM1 have been linked to autosomal recessive lamellar ichthyosis and nonbullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7051; HGNC ID: HGNC:11777; UniProt: P22735; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000359.3; Chromosome location: 14q12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
