Human TG qPCR Primer Set – thyroglobulin
Also known as: AITD3, TGN
About this gene: Thyroglobulin is a glycoprotein homodimer produced predominantly by the thryroid gland. The TG gene product acts as a substrate for the synthesis of thyroxine and triiodothyronine as well as the storage of the inactive forms of thyroid hormone and iodine. Thyroglobulin is secreted from the endoplasmic reticulum to its site of iodination, and subsequent thyroxine biosynthesis, in the follicular lumen.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7038; HGNC ID: HGNC:11764; UniProt: P01266; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003235.5; Chromosome location: 8q24.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
