About this gene: TFPI encodes a Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor that regulates the tissue factor-dependent pathway of blood coagulation. The coagulation process initiates with the formation of a factor VIIa-TF complex, which proteolytically activates additional proteases and ultimately leads to the formation of a fibrin clot. The product of TFPI inhibits the activated factor X and VIIa-TF proteases in an autoregulatory loop.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
