About this gene: TFCP2 encodes a transcription factor that binds the alpha-globin promoter and activates transcription of the alpha-globin gene. The TFCP2 protein regulates erythroid gene expression, is involved in the transcriptional switch of globin gene promoters, and it activates many other cellular and viral gene promoters. The gene product interacts with certain inflammatory response factors, and polymorphisms of TFCP2 may be involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
