SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TAS2R5 (taste 2 receptor member 5, also called T2R5) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TAS2R5 qPCR Primer Set – taste 2 receptor member 5
Also known as: T2R5
About this gene: TAS2R5 encodes a bitter taste receptor; bitter taste receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily and are specifically expressed by taste receptor cells of the tongue and palate epithelia. Each of these apparently intronless taste receptor genes encodes a 7-transmembrane receptor protein, functioning as a bitter taste receptor. TAS2R5 is clustered with another 3 candidate taste receptor genes on chromosome 7 and is genetically linked to loci that influence bitter perception.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 54429; HGNC ID: HGNC:14912; UniProt: Q9NYW4; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018980.3; Chromosome location: 7q34
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
