Human TARBP1 qPCR Primer Set – tRNA guanosine 2 -O-methyltransferase TARBP1

Also known as: TRM3, TRMT3, TRP-185, TRP185

About this gene: HIV-1, the causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, contains an RNA genome that produces a chromosomally integrated DNA during the replicative cycle. Activation of HIV-1 gene expression by the transactivator Tat is dependent on an RNA regulatory element located downstream of the transcription initiation site. This element forms a stable stem-loop structure and can be bound by either the protein encoded by TARBP1 or by RNA polymerase II. This protein may act to disengage RNA polymerase II from TAR during transcriptional elongation.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6894; HGNC ID: HGNC:11568; UniProt: Q13395; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005646.4; Chromosome location: 1q42.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
