SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human TAGLN (transgelin, also called SM22-alpha) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human TAGLN qPCR Primer Set – transgelin
Also known as: SM22, SM22-alpha, SMCC, TAGLN1, TGLN, WS3-10
About this gene: TAGLN encodes a shape change and transformation sensitive actin-binding protein which belongs to the calponin family. The TAGLN gene product is ubiquitously expressed in vascular and visceral smooth muscle, and is an early marker of smooth muscle differentiation. The TAGLN protein is believed to be involved in calcium-independent smooth muscle contraction.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6876; HGNC ID: HGNC:11553; UniProt: Q01995; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003186.5; Chromosome location: 11q23.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
