About this gene: SYT8 belongs to the synaptotagmin protein family. Synaptotagmins are membrane proteins that are important in neurotransmission and hormone secretion, both of which involve regulated exocytosis. Expression of the SYT8 protein in human pancreatic islets has been connected to activity of the promoter for the insulin gene, on the same chromosome multiple hundred kilobases away.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
