Human SUV39H1 qPCR Primer Set – SUV39H1 histone lysine methyltransferase
Also known as: H3-K9-HMTase 1, KMT1A, MG44, SUV39H
About this gene: SUV39H1 encodes a evolutionarily-conserved protein containing an N-terminal chromodomain and a C-terminal SET domain. The SUV39H1 protein is a histone methyltransferase that trimethylates lysine 9 of histone H3, which leads to transcriptional gene silencing. Loss of function of SUV39H1 disrupts heterochromatin formation and may cause chromosome instability.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6839; HGNC ID: HGNC:11479; UniProt: O43463; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003173.4; Chromosome location: Xp11.23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
