SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SULT2A1 (sulfotransferase family 2A member 1, also called HST) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SULT2A1 qPCR Primer Set – sulfotransferase family 2A member 1
Also known as: DHEA-ST, DHEA-ST8, DHEAS, HST, ST2, ST2A1, ST2A3, STD, SULT2A3, hSTa
About this gene: SULT2A1 belongs to the sulfotransferase family. Sulfotransferases aid in the metabolism of drugs and endogenous compounds by converting these substances into more hydrophilic water-soluble sulfate conjugates that can be easily excreted. The SULT2A1 protein catalyzes the sulfation of steroids and bile acids in the liver and adrenal glands, and may have a role in the inherited adrenal androgen excess in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6822; HGNC ID: HGNC:11458; UniProt: Q06520; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003167.4; Chromosome location: 19q13.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
