SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human STS (steroid sulfatase, also called ASC) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human STS qPCR Primer Set – steroid sulfatase
Also known as: ARSC, ARSC1, ASC, ES, SSDD, XLI
About this gene: STS encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. The STS gene product belongs to the sulfatase family and hydrolyzes multiple 3-beta-hydroxysteroid sulfates, which serve as metabolic precursors for estrogens, androgens, and cholesterol. Mutations in STS are linked to X-linked ichthyosis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 412; HGNC ID: HGNC:11425; UniProt: P08842; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001320752.2; Chromosome location: Xp22.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
