Human STAU1 qPCR Primer Set – staufen double-stranded RNA binding protein 1
Also known as: PPP1R150, STAU
About this gene: Staufen belongs to the family of double-stranded RNA-binding proteins involved in the transport and/or localization of mRNAs to different subcellular compartments and/or organelles. These proteins are characterized by the presence of multiple dsRNA-binding domains which are required to bind RNAs having double-stranded secondary structures. The human homologue of staufen encoded by STAU, also contains a microtubule- binding domain similar to that of microtubule-associated protein 1B, and binds tubulin.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6780; HGNC ID: HGNC:11370; UniProt: O95793; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_017453.4; Chromosome location: 20q13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
