SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human STAR (steroidogenic acute regulatory protein, also called StARD1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human STAR qPCR Primer Set – steroidogenic acute regulatory protein
Also known as: STARD1
About this gene: The STAR protein is central to the acute regulation of steroid hormone synthesis by enhancing the conversion of cholesterol into pregnenolone. The STAR protein permits the cleavage of cholesterol into pregnenolone by mediating the transport of cholesterol from the outer mitochondrial membrane to the inner mitochondrial membrane.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6770; HGNC ID: HGNC:11359; UniProt: P49675; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000349.3; Chromosome location: 8p11.23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
