SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST6GAL2 (ST6 beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2, also called ST6GalII) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST6GAL2 qPCR Primer Set – ST6 beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 2
Also known as: SIAT2, ST6GalII
About this gene: This locus encodes a sialyltransferase. The encoded type II transmembrane protein catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP to an oligosaccharide substrate. Polymorphisms at this locus may be linked to variations in risperidone response in schizophrenic patients.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 84620; HGNC ID: HGNC:10861; UniProt: Q96JF0; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001142351.2; Chromosome location: 2q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
