SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST3GAL6 (ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 6, also called ST3GalVI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST3GAL6 qPCR Primer Set – ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 6
Also known as: SIAT10, ST3GALVI
About this gene: The ST3GAL6 protein belongs to the sialyltransferase family. Members of this family are enzymes that transfer sialic acid from the activated cytidine 5'-monophospho-N-acetylneuraminic acid to terminal positions on sialylated glycolipids or to the N- or O-linked sugar chains of glycoproteins. The ST3GAL6 protein has high specificity for neolactotetraosylceramide and neolactohexaosylceramide as glycolipid substrates and may contribute to the formation of selectin ligands and sialyl Lewis X, a carbohydrate important for cell-to-cell recognition and a blood group antigen.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10402; HGNC ID: HGNC:18080; UniProt: Q9Y274; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001323368.2; Chromosome location: 3q12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
