Human SSRP1 qPCR Primer Set – structure specific recognition protein 1

Also known as: FACT, FACT80, T160

About this gene: The SSRP1 protein is a subunit of a heterodimer that, along with SUPT16H, forms chromatin transcriptional elongation factor FACT. FACT interacts specifically with histones H2A/H2B to effect nucleosome disassembly and transcription elongation. FACT and cisplatin-damaged DNA may be crucial to the anticancer mechanism of cisplatin. This encoded protein contains a high mobility group box which most likely constitutes the structure recognition element for cisplatin-modified DNA. This protein also acts as a co-activator of the transcriptional activator p63.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6749; HGNC ID: HGNC:11327; UniProt: Q08945; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003146.3; Chromosome location: 11q12.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
