SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SRM (spermidine synthase, also called SPDSY) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SRM qPCR Primer Set – spermidine synthase
Also known as: PAPT, SPDSY, SPS1, SRML1
About this gene: The polyamines putrescine, spermine, and spermidine are ubiquitous polycationic mediators of cell growth and differentiation. Spermidine synthase is one of four enzymes in the polyamine-biosynthetic pathway and carries out the final step of spermidine biosynthesis. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of putrescine to spermidine using decarboxylated S-adenosylmethionine as the cofactor.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6723; HGNC ID: HGNC:11296; UniProt: P19623; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003132.3; Chromosome location: 1p36.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
