About this gene: SRD5A2 encodes a microsomal protein expressed at high levels in androgen-sensitive tissues such as the prostate. The SRD5A2 protein is active at acidic pH and is sensitive to the 4-azasteroid inhibitor finasteride. Deficiencies in SRD5A2 can result in male pseudohermaphroditism, specifically pseudovaginal perineoscrotal hypospadias.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
