SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SPTB (spectrin beta, erythrocytic) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SPTB qPCR Primer Set – spectrin beta, erythrocytic
Also known as: EL3, HS2, HSPTB1, SPH2
About this gene: This locus belongs to the spectrin gene family. Spectrin proteins, along with ankyrin, play a role in cell membrane organization and stability. The protein encoded by this locus functions in stability of erythrocyte membranes, and mutations in SPTB have been linked to spherocytosis type 2, hereditary elliptocytosis, and neonatal hemolytic anemia.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6710; HGNC ID: HGNC:11274; UniProt: P11277; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001355436.2; Chromosome location: 14q23.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
