SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SPP1 (secreted phosphoprotein 1, also called osteopontin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SPP1 qPCR Primer Set – secreted phosphoprotein 1
Also known as: BNSP, BSPI, ETA-1, OPN
About this gene: The SPP1 protein is involved in the attachment of osteoclasts to the mineralized bone matrix. The SPP1 protein is secreted and binds hydroxyapatite with high affinity. The osteoclast vitronectin receptor is found in the cell membrane and may be involved in the binding to this protein.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6696; HGNC ID: HGNC:11255; UniProt: P10451; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001040058.2; Chromosome location: 4q22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
