SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SPO11 (SPO11 initiator of meiotic double strand breaks, also called CT35) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SPO11 qPCR Primer Set – SPO11 initiator of meiotic double strand breaks
Also known as: CT35, SPATA43, TOPOVIA, TOPVIA
About this gene: Meiotic recombination and chromosome segregation require the formation of double-strand breaks in paired chromosome homologs. During meiosis in yeast, a meiotic recombination protein is covalently-linked to the 5' end of DSBs and is essential for the formation of DSBs. The SPO11 protein is similar in sequence and conserved features to the yeast meiotic recombination protein.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 23626; HGNC ID: HGNC:11250; UniProt: Q9Y5K1; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012444.3; Chromosome location: 20q13.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
