SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SOAT2 (sterol O-acyltransferase 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SOAT2 qPCR Primer Set – sterol O-acyltransferase 2
Also known as: ACACT2, ACAT2, ARGP2
About this gene: Summary:This gene belongs to a small family of acyl coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferases. The gene encodes a membrane-bound enzyme localized in the endoplasmic reticulum that produces intracellular cholesterol esters from long-chain fatty acyl CoA and cholesterol. The cholesterol esters are then stored as cytoplasmic lipid droplets inside the cell.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8435; HGNC ID: HGNC:11178; UniProt: O75908; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003578.4; Chromosome location: 12q13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
