About this gene: This gene, a member of the SNW gene family, encodes a coactivator that enhances transcription from some Pol II promoters. This coactivator can bind to the ligand-binding domain of the vitamin D receptor and to retinoid receptors to enhance vitamin D-, retinoic acid-, estrogen-, and glucocorticoid-mediated gene expression. The SNW1 gene product can also function as a splicing factor by interacting with poly-binding protein 2 to directly control the expression of muscle-specific genes at the transcriptional level.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 22938; HGNC ID: HGNC:16696; UniProt: Q13573; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012245.3; Chromosome location: 14q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
