SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human DST (dystonin, also called BPA) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human DST qPCR Primer Set – dystonin
Also known as: BP240, BPA, BPAG1, CATX-15, CATX15, CMYO29, D6S1101, DMH, DT, EBS3, EBSB2, HSAN6
About this gene: DST belongs to the plakin protein family of adhesion junction plaque proteins. The DST gene product has been reported that some isoforms are expressed in neural and muscle tissue, anchoring neural intermediate filaments to the actin cytoskeleton, and some isoforms are expressed in epithelial tissue. Consistent with the expression, mice defective for DST show skin blistering and neurodegeneration.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 667; HGNC ID: HGNC:1090; UniProt: Q03001; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001374736.1; Chromosome location: 6p12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
