SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SMPD1 (sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1, also called aSMase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SMPD1 qPCR Primer Set – sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1
Also known as: ASM, ASMASE, NPD
About this gene: The SMPD1 protein is a lysosomal acid sphingomyelinase that converts sphingomyelin to ceramide. The SMPD1 protein also has phospholipase C activity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6609; HGNC ID: HGNC:11120; UniProt: P17405; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000543.5; Chromosome location: 11p15.4
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
