Human SLC7A9 qPCR Primer Set – solute carrier family 7 member 9
Also known as: BAT1, CSNU3
About this gene: SLC7A9 encodes a protein that belongs to a family of light subunits of amino acid transporters. The SLC7A9 protein is involved in the high-affinity and sodium-independent transport of cystine and neutral and dibasic amino acids, and appears to function in the reabsorption of cystine in the kidney tubule. Mutations in SLC7A9 cause non-type I cystinuria, a disease that leads to cystine stones in the urinary system due to impaired transport of cystine and dibasic amino acids.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11136; HGNC ID: HGNC:11067; UniProt: P82251; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014270.5; Chromosome location: 19q13.11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
