About this gene: SLC6A4 encodes a integral membrane protein that transports the neurotransmitter serotonin from synaptic spaces into presynaptic neurons. The SLC6A4 protein terminates the action of serotonin and recycles it in a sodium-dependent manner. The SLC6A4 protein is a target of psychomotor stimulants, such as amphetamines and cocaine, and belongs to the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
