SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SLC6A3 (solute carrier family 6 member 3, also called DAT) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SLC6A3 qPCR Primer Set – solute carrier family 6 member 3
Also known as: DAT, DAT1, PKDYS, PKDYS1
About this gene: SLC6A3 encodes a dopamine transporter which belongs to the sodium- and chloride-dependent neurotransmitter transporter family. The 3' UTR of SLC6A3 contains a 40 bp tandem repeat, referred to as a variable number tandem repeat or VNTR, which can be present in 3 to 11 copies. Variation in the number of repeats is linked to idiopathic epilepsy, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, dependence on alcohol and cocaine, susceptibility to Parkinson disease and protection against nicotine dependence.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6531; HGNC ID: HGNC:11049; UniProt: Q01959; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001044.5; Chromosome location: 5p15.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
