About this gene: The SLC4A1 protein is part of the anion exchanger family and is expressed in the erythrocyte plasma membrane, where it acts as a chloride/bicarbonate exchanger involved in carbon dioxide transport from tissues to lungs. The protein comprises two domains that are structurally and functionally distinct. The glycosylated C-terminal membrane-associated domain contains 12-14 membrane spanning segments and carries out the stilbene disulphonate-sensitive exchange transport of anions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6521; HGNC ID: HGNC:11027; UniProt: P02730; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000342.4; Chromosome location: 17q21.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
