SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SLC18A2 (solute carrier family 18 member A2, also called VAT2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SLC18A2 qPCR Primer Set – solute carrier family 18 member A2
Also known as: PKDYS2, SVAT, SVMT, VAT2, VMAT2
About this gene: SLC18A2 encodes a transmembrane protein that acts as an ATP-dependent transporter of monoamines, such as dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and histamine. The SLC18A2 protein transports amine neurotransmitters into synaptic vesicles. Polymorphisms in SLC18A2 may be linked to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other neurological/psychiatric ailments.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6571; HGNC ID: HGNC:10935; UniProt: Q05940; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003054.6; Chromosome location: 10q25.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
