Human SLC12A5 qPCR Primer Set – solute carrier family 12 member 5
Also known as: DEE34, EIEE34, EIG14, KCC2, hKCC2
About this gene: K-Cl cotransporters are proteins that lower intracellular chloride concentrations below the electrochemical equilibrium potential. The SLC12A5 protein is an integral membrane K-Cl cotransporter that can function in either a net efflux or influx pathway, depending on the chemical concentration gradients of potassium and chloride. The SLC12A5 protein can act as a homomultimer, or as a heteromultimer with other K-Cl cotransporters, to maintain chloride homeostasis in neurons.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 57468; HGNC ID: HGNC:13818; UniProt: Q9H2X9; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_020708.5; Chromosome location: 20q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
