SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SEPSECS (Sep (O-phosphoserine) tRNA:Sec (selenocysteine) tRNA synthase, also called LP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SEPSECS qPCR Primer Set – Sep (O-phosphoserine) tRNA:Sec (selenocysteine) tRNA synthase
Also known as: LP, PCH2D, SLA, SLA-p35, SLA/LP, SecS
About this gene: The amino acid selenocysteine is the only amino acid that does not have its own tRNA synthetase. Instead, this amino acid is synthesized on its cognate tRNA in a three step process. The SEPSECS protein catalyzes the third step in the process, the conversion of O-phosphoseryl-tRNA to selenocysteinyl-tRNA.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51091; HGNC ID: HGNC:30605; UniProt: Q9HD40; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_016955.4; Chromosome location: 4p15.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
