Human GEMIN2 qPCR Primer Set – gem nuclear organelle associated protein 2
Also known as: SIP1, SIP1-delta
About this gene: GEMIN2 encodes one of the proteins found in the SMN complex, which consists of multiple gemin proteins and the protein known as the survival of motor neuron protein. The SMN complex is localized to a subnuclear compartment called gems and is required for assembly of spliceosomal snRNPs and for pre-mRNA splicing. The GEMIN2 protein interacts directly with the survival of motor neuron protein and it is required for formation of the SMN complex.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8487; HGNC ID: HGNC:10884; UniProt: O14893; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003616.3; Chromosome location: 14q21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
