About this gene: PMEL encodes a melanocyte-specific type I transmembrane glycoprotein. The PMEL protein is enriched in melanosomes, which are the melanin-producing organelles in melanocytes, and plays an essential role in the structural organization of premelanosomes. The PMEL protein is involved in generating internal matrix fibers that define the transition from Stage I to Stage II melanosomes.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
