SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST3GAL5 (ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 5, also called ST3GalV) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST3GAL5 qPCR Primer Set – ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 5
Also known as: SATI, SIAT9, SIATGM3S, SPDRS, ST3Gal V, ST3GalV
About this gene: Ganglioside GM3 is known to participate in the induction of cell differentiation, modulation of cell proliferation, maintenance of fibroblast morphology, signal transduction, and integrin-mediated cell adhesion. The ST3GAL5 protein is a type II membrane protein which catalyzes the formation of GM3 using lactosylceramide as the substrate. The ST3GAL5 protein belongs to glycosyltransferase family 29 and may be localized to the Golgi apparatus.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8869; HGNC ID: HGNC:10872; UniProt: Q9UNP4; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003896.4; Chromosome location: 2p11.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
