SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST8SIA5 (ST8 alpha-N-acetyl-neuraminide alpha-2,8-sialyltransferase 5, also called SIAT8-E) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST8SIA5 qPCR Primer Set – ST8 alpha-N-acetyl-neuraminide alpha-2,8-sialyltransferase 5
Also known as: SIAT8-E, SIAT8E, ST8SiaV
About this gene: The ST8SIA5 protein is a type II membrane protein that may be present in the Golgi apparatus. The encoded protein, which belongs to glycosyltransferase family 29, may be involved in the synthesis of gangliosides GD1c, GT1a, GQ1b, and GT3 from GD1a, GT1b, GM1b, and GD3, respectively.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 29906; HGNC ID: HGNC:17827; UniProt: O15466; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_013305.6; Chromosome location: 18q21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
