SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST3GAL2 (ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 2, also called ST3GalII) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST3GAL2 qPCR Primer Set – ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 2
Also known as: Gal-NAc6S, SIAT4B, ST3GALII, ST3GalA.2
About this gene: The ST3GAL2 protein is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The ST3GAL2 protein is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form. This protein, which belongs to glycosyltransferase family 29, can use the same acceptor substrates as does sialyltransferase 4A.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6483; HGNC ID: HGNC:10863; UniProt: Q16842; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006927.4; Chromosome location: 16q22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
