SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST3GAL1 (ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 1, also called ST3O) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST3GAL1 qPCR Primer Set – ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 1
Also known as: Gal-NAc6S, SIAT4A, SIATFL, ST3GalA, ST3GalA.1, ST3GalIA, ST3GalIA,1, ST3O
About this gene: The ST3GAL1 protein is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The ST3GAL1 protein is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form. Correct glycosylation of the ST3GAL1 protein may be critical to its sialyltransferase activity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6482; HGNC ID: HGNC:10862; UniProt: Q11201; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_173344.3; Chromosome location: 8q24.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
