SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ST6GAL1 (ST6 beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1, also called ST6GalI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ST6GAL1 qPCR Primer Set – ST6 beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1
Also known as: CDw75, SIAT1, ST6GalI, ST6N
About this gene: ST6GAL1 belongs to glycosyltransferase family 29. The ST6GAL1 protein is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The protein, which is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form, is involved in the generation of the cell-surface carbohydrate determinants and differentiation antigens HB-6, CD75, and CD76.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6480; HGNC ID: HGNC:10860; UniProt: P15907; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_173216.2; Chromosome location: 3q27.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
