About this gene: The SGO1 protein belongs to the shugoshin family of proteins. The SGO1 protein is believed to protect centromeric cohesin from cleavage during mitotic prophase by preventing phosphorylation of a cohesin subunit. Reduced expression of SGO1 leads to the premature loss of centromeric cohesion, mis-segregation of sister chromatids, and mitotic arrest.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
