SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SCG5 (secretogranin V) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SCG5 qPCR Primer Set – secretogranin V
Also known as: 7B2, P7B2, SGNE1, SgV
About this gene: SCG5 encodes a secreted chaperone protein that prevents the aggregation of other secreted proteins, including proteins that are linked to neurodegenerative and metabolic disease. The SCG5 protein may be best known for its role in the trafficking and activation of prohormone convertase PC2. Phosphorylation of the SCG5 protein is reported to have an inhibitory effect on its chaperone function.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6447; HGNC ID: HGNC:10816; UniProt: P05408; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001144757.3; Chromosome location: 15q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
