About this gene: SGCA encodes a component of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex, which is critical to the stability of muscle fiber membranes and to the linking of the actin cytoskeleton to the extracellular matrix. Its expression is believed to be restricted to striated muscle. Mutations in SGCA result in type 2D autosomal recessive limb-girdle muscular dystrophy.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
