Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human BIRC7 (baculoviral IAP repeat containing 7, also called KIAP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.

Human BIRC7 qPCR Primer Set – baculoviral IAP repeat containing 7

Also known as: KIAP, LIVIN, ML-IAP, MLIAP, RNF50

About this gene: BIRC7 belongs to the inhibitor of apoptosis protein family, and contains a single copy of a baculovirus IAP repeat as well as a RING-type zinc finger domain. The BIR domain is essential for inhibitory activity and interacts with caspases, while the RING finger domain sometimes enhances antiapoptotic activity but does not inhibit apoptosis alone. Elevated levels of the BIRC7 protein may be linked to cancer progression and play a role in chemotherapy sensitivity.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 79444; HGNC ID: HGNC:13702; UniProt: Q96CA5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_139317.3; Chromosome location: 20q13.33

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
