SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SERPINB8 (serpin family B member 8, also called CAP2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SERPINB8 qPCR Primer Set – serpin family B member 8
Also known as: C18orf53, CAP2, PI-8, PI8, PSS5
About this gene: The SERPINB8 protein belongs to the ov-serpin family of serine protease inhibitors. The SERPINB8 protein is produced by platelets and can bind to and inhibit the function of furin, a serine protease involved in platelet functions. In addition, this protein has been found to enhance the mechanical stability of cell-cell adhesion in the skin, and defects in SERPINB8 have been linked to an autosomal-recessive form of exfoliative ichthyosis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5271; HGNC ID: HGNC:8952; UniProt: P50452; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002640.4; Chromosome location: 18q22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
