SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MSRB1 (methionine sulfoxide reductase B1, also called SelX) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MSRB1 qPCR Primer Set – methionine sulfoxide reductase B1
Also known as: HSPC270, SELENOR, SELENOX, SELR, SELX, SEPX1, SepR
About this gene: The MSRB1 protein belongs to the methionine-R-sulfoxide reductase B family. Members of this family function as repair enzymes that protect proteins from oxidative stress by catalyzing the reduction of methionine-R-sulfoxides to methionines. The MSRB1 protein is highly expressed in liver and kidney, and is localized to the nucleus and cytosol.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51734; HGNC ID: HGNC:14133; UniProt: Q9NZV6; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_016332.4; Chromosome location: 16p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
