SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SEMG1 (semenogelin 1, also called SGI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SEMG1 qPCR Primer Set – semenogelin 1
Also known as: CT103, SEMG, SGI, dJ172H20.2
About this gene: The SEMG1 protein is the predominant protein in semen. The encoded secreted protein is involved in the formation of a gel matrix that encases ejaculated spermatozoa. This preproprotein is proteolytically processed by the prostate-specific antigen protease to generate multiple peptide products that exhibit distinct functions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6406; HGNC ID: HGNC:10742; UniProt: P04279; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003007.5; Chromosome location: 20q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
