SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SELENOT (selenoprotein T, also called SelT) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SELENOT qPCR Primer Set – selenoprotein T
Also known as: SELT
About this gene: SELENOT encodes a selenoprotein, containing a selenocysteine residue at the active site. Sec is encoded by the UGA codon that normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTRs of selenoprotein mRNAs contain a conserved stem-loop structure, the Sec insertion sequence element, that is necessary for the recognition of UGA as a Sec codon rather than as a stop signal.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51714; HGNC ID: HGNC:18136; UniProt: P62341; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_016275.5; Chromosome location: 3q25.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
