SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SELENOS (selenoprotein S, also called SelS) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SELENOS qPCR Primer Set – selenoprotein S
Also known as: AD-015, ADO15, SBBI8, SELS, SEPS1, VIMP
About this gene: SELENOS encodes a transmembrane protein that is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum. The SELENOS gene product is involved in the degradation process of misfolded proteins in the ER, and may also have a role in inflammation control. The SELENOS protein is a selenoprotein, containing the rare amino acid selenocysteine.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55829; HGNC ID: HGNC:30396; UniProt: Q9BQE4; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018445.6; Chromosome location: 15q26.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
